New Fashion Themes for Windows Phones at 13:32

The first is that a number of designers have signed with Microsoft to produce designer themes for Windows Phones.
Isaac Mizrahi will be the first in a series of designers to create exclusive themes, including color palettes and wallpaper.
Other designers will be announced in the coming months.

“Phones are just as much a fashion statement as the clothes you wear,” says Mizrahi.
“As a designer, I’m excited to team up with Microsoft to bring forth fresh and funky new ways for people to make their Windows® phones a part of their personality."

The second and more important for the users, is that a new Theme Generator is about to released.
The Theme Generator, will be an online service here coming later this year (probably coinciding with the release Windows 6.5).
This will enable people to select pictures from their PC to set as background images, as well as choose colors to personalize their navigation bar, scroll bar and highlighted text.
The finished themes can then be sent directly to your phone.

Windows 6.5 has the ability to extend a wallpaper into the taskbar and softkey bar, but these are soon lost when you head away from the today screen.
These new themes look set to extend those images throughout the entire OS.
This will improve the overall Windows Mobile UI, which is in definite need of an update.
