With WMP running in the background, you can return to the home screen and control your tracks form there.
This provides you with the album art, track name, artist and the option to move to next/previous track :
Pressing the slide will pause the track
Sweeping left moves to the previous track
Sweeping right for the next track
Your right softkey then becomes a shortcut for Windows Media Player.
You also have the ability to continue playing the track when the screen is switched off.
